Bourne Abbey Choir
The choir continues to support worship. The choral repertoire comprises communion motets and anthems as well as hymns and responsorial psalms.
Monthly Choral Evensong takes place on the third Sunday of the month at 6.30pm. It is sung by the Abbey Consort, a group of experienced singers of which the Abbey choir forms the nucleus. This has enabled us to maintain the skills of Anglican chanting of the psalms, lost in so many churches, and extend the range of our musical offering.
Bourne Abbey Band
The band comprises brass and woodwind players, and welcomes new members. Practice sessions are held in the church every Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm. The band supports Sunday services on special occasions.
